Do St. Cloud Realtors® and St. Paddy's Day Share a Connection?

Some people don't immediately see the strong link between St. Patrick's Day and St. Cloud Realtors®—but that's probably because they haven't given it enough thought. In fact, whether you're in the market for a new home or about to sell your own, there are those who champion the idea that this Thursday could be a red-letter day (well, green-letter day, anyway) for St. Cloud real estate.

The compelling reason is the enthusiastic activity of real estate marketing supply companies. They make sure that there is never any chance that a St. Patrick's Day will ever pass without notice. Months ago, the companies started pitching the promotional gear they'd like Realtors to disseminate. It goes without saying that all of the flyers and postcards are green. Many are plastered with four-leaf clovers, pots' o' gold, wee leprechauns wearing green hats with buckles on top—and more four-leaf clovers.

The connection with St. Cloud Realtors remains somewhat vague. It mostly centers on the aura of luckiness that surrounds the holiday in the public mind. The handout graphics seldom portray the legend of St. Pat driving all the snakes out of Ireland, instead preferring images that emphasize the celebratory nature of the day: foamy beer mugs are typical. For agents and brokers who choose to lighten the load on St. Cloud postal workers who are already burdened with green auto dealer and supermarket sale flyers, vendors recommend last-minute "St. Patrick's Day-themed Email Blasts." These are designed to "catch the eye of potential buyers and sellers with bright green" graphics featuring—well, four-leaf clovers and pots o' gold, etc.

Although it's hard to ignore the feeling that the St. Patrick's Day-Realtor connection is purely commercial, it's hard not to agree that some of the messaging could be valid. If, for instance, if you have listed your own home and it happens to close this Thursday, it could be that some good 'luck o' the Irish' has indeed managed to slide down a rainbow to settle upon 'ye. Or else that your St. Cloud Realtor has been working diligently on your behalf—a workaday miracle that will begin to work just as soon as you give me a call!
